The ledger
Double entry by hand before any software: journals, T-accounts, and why the two sides must agree.

Adjustments
Accruals, prepayments, depreciation and the month-end work that turns raw entries into accounts.

Trial balance
Building one, finding the error when it does not balance, and explaining each figure out loud.
- 04
Statements
Profit and loss, balance sheet, and reading someone else's accounts critically.
